We are hiring a Discord Community Moderator to keep our growing community helpful, organized, welcoming, and safe throughout US trading hours.
Your role
You will be one of the main points of contact inside the Hyperprop Discord.
You will guide new members, answer common questions, enforce community rules, spot potential platform issues, and make sure important feedback reaches Support, Product, or Engineering.
This role needs good judgment: when to answer, when to calm a conversation, when to warn, and when to escalate.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor the Hyperprop Discord during US trading hours
- Welcome new members and help them navigate the community
- Answer common questions using verified, up-to-date information
- Keep conversations respectful, constructive, and relevant
- Enforce community rules consistently and professionally
- Address spam, harassment, scams, impersonation, raids, and disruptive behavior
- Issue warnings, timeouts, or escalations when needed
- Identify potential bugs and point users to the right reporting process
- Collect useful feedback and escalate recurring concerns
- Keep support, feedback, and bug-report channels organized
- Help maintain FAQs, moderation notes, internal guides, and standard responses
- Support announcements, community events, raffles, testing rounds, and evaluation drops
- Monitor community sentiment and report notable trends
- Coordinate with Support, Product, Engineering, and prop firm partners
Requirements
- Previous experience moderating an active Discord community
- Experience in prop trading, futures trading, fintech, or trading communities is strongly preferred
- Understanding of trading concepts such as evaluations, funded accounts, orders, positions, drawdown, and risk limits
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Calm, fair, and professional communication
- Strong judgment with conflict or sensitive situations
- Ability to tell genuine questions from spam, scams, or disruption
- Comfortable with Discord moderation tools, tickets, roles, channels, and permissions
- Reliable and consistently available during US trading hours
- Self-motivated and able to manage priorities remotely
- Able to share verified information without making unsupported promises
